Will I learn how to address difficulties with executive function?

Absolutely! You’ll learn how to ‘scaffold’ executive function skills such as emotion flexibility, attention flexibility and cognitive flexibility, and implement effective strategies for forgetfulness, impulsivity, disorganization, and time blindness in the course ACT for ADHD.


Is the course neuroaffirming?

Does ACT for ADHD cover difficulties with task initiation and completion?

Absolutely! Difficulties with task initiation or completion are incredibly common amongst ADHDers. The course takes you step-by-step through a compassionate, realistic, values-based approach to self-motivation, including the development of cognitive defusion and emotional flexibility skills, to overcome internal barriers to action.


Will ACT for ADHD teach me how to work with emotion dysregulation

It sure will. This course provides you with structured, practical ACT skills and strategies for working comprehensively with emotion dysregulation – including everything from grounding and self-soothing skills to reframing and self-compassion.


Do I need prior training to take ACT for ADHD?

No. If you’re a relative newcomer to ACT, it’s wise to do the ACT For Beginners course first, to build your foundational knowledge and develop the core skills.  But it’s not absolutely essential.
