Will this course count towards the requirements to become a certified DBT therapist?

Completing the DBT Comprehensive online program is your first step to certification but does not automatically certify you in DBT. Certification in DBT by the DBT-Linehan Board is a separate, voluntary process that can be pursued once all the prerequisites for certification are met.

The DBT-Linehan Board of Certification’s mission is to ensure excellence and adherence to the highest standards in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The certification process rigorously assesses clinicians to ensure they possess the knowledge and skills essential for delivering DBT with adherence to the model as it has been researched. Similarly, they evaluate DBT programs to verify they have the necessary components and organizational structure to implement DBT with fidelity. Our DBT Comprehensive program meets these requirements.
