Tell me more about quiz questions and score calculations in your DBT courses

Tell me about the quizzes:

  • Quizzes are found at the end of each week or section in your course.

  • An overall quiz score of 80% or higher is required.

  • All quiz questions in the course are counted towards your overall score, except practice quizzes. We'll let you know if you're taking a practice quiz!

  • Most questions are multiple choice with some true/false.

Tell me what happens if I get a question wrong:

  • You have three attempts to answer a multiple choice question correctly.

  • True/False questions have one attempt.

  • If you can't answer the question correctly within these requirements, your answer will be marked as incorrect.

* Please note that we cannot offer makeup exams, as per the requirements of our certifying board for CE/CME Credits.

How is the overall score calculated?

  • Each weekly or section quiz contributes to your overall score. At the end of the course, your total is calculated. For example, 56 out of 70 equals 80%.

How much of my course do I need to complete to earn a certificate?

The certificate you receive depends on how much of the course you complete:

  • Complete at least 75%: You’ll receive a Letter of Participation.

To earn a CE/CME Certificate, you must:

  1. Achieve an overall quiz score of 80% or higher

    • All course quizzes (except any pre-test) count toward your score.

    • You have up to three attempts to get each multiple choice question right.

  2. Finish the full course

  3. Pay the $20 USD processing fee before completing the course

  4. Submit the post-course evaluation form
