Dr Sheri L. Johnson is a Professor of Psychology at the University of California Berkely and renowned for her expertise on bipolar disorder. She is the Cal Mania (CALM) Program Director, where she leads research surrounding emotion and impulsivity.

Dr Johnson’s work is funded by distinguished organizations, including the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Science Foundation. Her research is published in highly ranked journals such as the Journal of Abnormal Psychology and the American Journal of Psychiatry. She is co-editor or co-author of five books, including the best-selling textbook, Abnormal Psychology: The Science and Treatment of Psychological Disorders.

Along with her numerous accolades, Dr Johnson is a three-time winner of the Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching from the University of Miami.

Dr Johnson is a network member of Crest.BD, an organization with major funding from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research. Here she makes up a multidisciplinary team exchanging knowledge on bipolar disorder.
