Dr Rajesh Sagar is a preeminent Professor of Psychiatry at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). In addition, he is an Honorary Professor at the University of Melbourne, Australia and an Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Leicester, United Kindom.

His previous positions include Elected Editor at the Indian Psychiatry Society-NZ, the Secretary of the Central Mental Health Authority and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee and Ethics Committee at the National Brain Research Centre.

In 2013 Dr Sagar was appointed as the honorary advisor for mental health at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in India. In 2006 he was awarded the D.J. Cohen Fellowship at the 17th World Congress of the International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions. He has also been bestowed a Most Outstanding Researcher award as India's top most faculty in Psychology/Psychiatry.

Dr Sagar is an invited speaker at international symposiums, where he shares his expertise on child and adolescent mental health. He recently published the insightful title, A Practical Approach to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Adolescents.
