Dr Seth J. Gillihan is a noted innovator and expert in the science, practice and theory of mindful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He is a licensed psychologist and former full-time faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Dr Gillihan has written several influential books on CBT, including Mindful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; The CBT Deck for Anxiety, Rumination & Worry; A Mindful Year: Daily Meditations; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Made Simple, and Retrain Your Brain: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks.

As well as CBT, Dr Gillihan is an authority on insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression and more.

Dr Gillihan writes a regular blog for Psychology Today and hosts his own podcast, Think Act Be. His work has been covered by outlets across both print and broadcast media such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, LA Times, Women’s Health and USA Today.
