Dr David A. Jobes is an acclaimed Professor of Psychology, Associate Director of Clinical Training and Director of the Suicide Prevention Laboratory at The Catholic University of America. In addition, he is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist and an Adjunct Professor at Uniformed Services University. He is renowned for creating and developing the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) model.

Dr Jobes is the author of numerous books and book chapters. He has served as a principal investigator and published research on several randomized controlled trials demonstrating the effectiveness of CAMS. His research is funded by esteemed bodies, including the National Institute of Mental Health.

Dr Jobes is honored by multiple awards. In 2014 he received the Faculty Achievement Award for Research from The Catholic University of America, the university’s highest recognition for significant critical reception.

Dr Jobes has served as an ad-hoc reviewer for American Psychologist and the Journal of Clinical Psychology, amongst other leading publications in the field. He is an advisory board member to Give an Hour, a non-profit volunteer mental health services organization.
