Rachel Samson is a clinical psychologist, author, and speaker with expertise in the area of attachment-based interventions for individuals, children, and families. Together with attachment researcher Dr Jessie Stern, she co-authored Beyond Difficult: An Attachment-Based Guide to Dealing With Difficult People, a guidebook integrating attachment and schema therapy models to support individuals dealing with difficult relationships in all areas of life. Rachel delivers seminars, conference presentations, and workshops in Australia and internationally, and is sought after by the media for her expertise in the area of attachment and relationships.
Rachel has advanced-level international certification in Schema Therapy with trainer-supervisor status and is a member of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). She has collaborated with the founder of Schema Therapy, Dr. Jeffrey Young, and Dr. George Lockwood to develop an expanded Schema Therapy model for highly sensitive and emotionally reactive individuals. She is also a registered Circle of Security Parent Facilitator and a member of the International Attachment Network (IAN).
