Dr Sonya Norman is a professor of clinical psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego, a psychologist for the VA San Diego Healthcare System and an investigator at the Center of Excellence for Stress and Mental Health. An expert in PTSD, Dr Norman co-developed Trauma Informed Guilt Reduction Therapy. She also investigates the relationship between substance abuse disorders and PTSD. For more than a decade, Dr Norman has directed the PTSD Consultation Program at the National Center for PTSD.
