Professor Richard Bentall is a clinical psychologist, researcher and author widely known for his pioneering studies on schizophrenia, psychosis and bipolar disorder. A professor of clinical psychology at the University of Sheffield, Professor Bentall is particularly well-versed in the social determinants of mental health and clinical interventions for psychosis, delusions and irrational belief. He has authored or edited several books, including Reconstructing Schizophrenia and Doctoring the Mind.
