Dr Charlotte Markey is an author, researcher and expert in body image. She is a professor of psychology and director of the Health Sciences Center at Rutgers University, Camden. Dr Markey specializes in eating-related behaviors. Her research looks at influences on body image including social pressures, romantic relationships, parent behaviors and media content. A leader in her field, Dr Markey has written over 100 articles and books including Being You: The Body Image Book for Boys, The Body Image Book for Girls and Body Positive.
