What you'll learn

Course goals

  • Learn the underlying features of emotional disorders, including the tendency towards frequent and intense negative emotions and emotion dysregulation, that can be targeted in treatment
  • Understand the five core cognitive-behavioral treatment modules of the Unified Protocol including mindful emotion awareness, flexible thinking, emotional behaviors, facing physical sensations and emotion exposures
  • Reduce emotion-motivated avoidant coping
  • Gain practical tools and skills to use throughout treatment
  • Learn how to implement the Unified Protocol within particular patient populations in a range of settings and circumstances
