profile

Christina L. Kress is a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) therapist dedicated to helping children, teens and families overcome their problems. She is a highly respected Clinical Social Worker at a private practice in Minnesota.

Christina is a firm believer in the family approach to therapy to help children with behavioral issues and mental health disorders. Her work with children and teens involves the family as a whole and addresses the various dynamics at play that may be impacting the child. She uses play therapy in the clinical setting to help young children open up and cope with their struggles and works closely with parents to develop strategies to support their children at home.

As a DBT therapist, Christina leads adult groups as well as adolescent and parent groups. She has been a guest lecturer and presenter and has published two books, including her latest title, The Anger Workbook for Kids, aimed at children aged five to 12.
