Professor Prashant Bordia is a highly regarded academic whose research focuses on social and organizational psychology. He has devoted much of his career to the study of rumor, communication and uncertainty during organizational change. He is a Professor of Management in the Research School of Management at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra.
In partnership with his co-author, Professor Nicholas DiFonzo, Professor Bordia is the author of the influential book Rumor Psychology: Social and Organizational Approaches. He has published research in numerous journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management and Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes.
Professor Bordia has served on the Australian Research Council College of Experts, as well as on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, and Journal of Organizational Behavior.
Professor Bordia has won many awards for his work, while his research has received funding from bodies such as the Australian Research Council and the US National Science Foundation.
