Dr Ingrid Sochting is the director of The University of British Columbia Psychology Clinic. She is a clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and an expert in group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Dr Sochting’s research focuses on assessing the outcomes of group CBT and Interpersonal Psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. She explores patients’ expectations, predictors of success, dropout rates and more. This has helped her to develop leading group CBT programs for a range of disorders. Dr Sochting spent 16 years as Chief Psychologist at Richmond Hospital’s Mental Health Outpatient Services, specializing in group CBT and teaching/supervising residents.
