Dr Michael Seto is an influential clinical and forensic psychologist specializing in pedophilia, sexual offending against children, risk assessment, and mentally disordered offending.

He is the Forensic Research Director at the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group and cross-appointed to the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Ryerson University, and the University of Toronto.

Dr Seto is regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities in his field and is the author of two notable books, Pedophilia and Sexual Offending Against Children and Internet Sex Offenders. He has also published many peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and is editor of the journal, Sexual Abuse. He frequently presents at scientific meetings and facilitates professional workshops.

Dr Seto serves as a pro bono scientific advisor to Thorn, set up by celebrities Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher that fights against the sexual exploitation of children. Dr Seto is often consulted as an expert by the mainstream media.
