Kristene A Doyle is a key figure at the Albert Ellis Institute (AEI), holding positions of both Director and the Founding Director of the Eating Disorders Treatment and Research Centre. She is also a Full Adjunct Professor at St John’s University.

Her interests span eating disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), especially with children and adolescents.

A key influencer in the practice and growth of REBT across the globe, she is an active member and ambassador for the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.

In addition to research papers and books, Professor Doyle has contributed chapters on topics as diverse as group therapy, attention deficit disorders and loss. She is co-editor of the Journal of Rational-Emotive & Cognitive-Behavior Therapy.

Media appearances include Access Hollywood and her expertise has been quoted in publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post and The Oprah Magazine.

A member of the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene Medical Reserve Corps, Professor Doyle is also a crisis team member with the Association to Benefit Children, a group that responds to disasters in New York City, including 9/11 and Flight 800.
