Roz Shafran is an award-winning Professor of Translational Psychology at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. She focuses on anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and dysfunctional perfectionism. In addition, she specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to treat chronic loneliness across all ages.

Professor Shafran is commended by numerous institutions, including the British Psychological Society, for her research contributions. She established the Lucy Booth at Great Ormond Street Hospital, an innovative drop-in mental health center for children and families.

Professor Shafran founded the Charlie Waller Institute of Evidenced Based Psychological Treatment and is an expert advisor for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. She is co-author of several books on CBT for both clinicians and the public.
