Dr Judith Cohen is an influential child and adolescent psychiatrist, and one of the co-creators of the widely used therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She is a Professor of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine and Medical Director of the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Dr Cohen is a co-author of the seminal books, Treating Trauma and Traumatic Grief in Children and Adolescents and Trauma-Focused CBT for Children and Adolescents Treatment Applications. Among her particular areas of interest is research into the effects of a family member’s trauma on the wider family unit.

Dr Cohen has received a number of awards for her work, including the Rieger Award for Scientific Achievement and the Outstanding Professional Award from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children.
