Professor Igor Grossmann is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of the Wisdom and Culture Lab at the University of Waterloo. He is the Founder of the World After Covid project. Synthesizing reflections of world experts. He evaluates expert judgment and shares advice about wisdom needed for well-functioning societies in a post-pandemic world.

Professor Grossmann is an explorer of cultural evolution and change, and his interests span multiple disciplines. One of his specializations is the sociocultural factors of wisdom and sound judgment in the face of daily challenges across cultures. He co-hosts the On Wisdom podcast, where he discusses scientific insights into the nature of wisdom.

Professor Grossmann's research is published in leading scientific journals, including PNAS and Proceedings of the Royal Academy: Biological Sciences. He has also written for the popular press, such as The Conversation and AEON, and is frequently featured in the general media such as ABC, BBC, NPR, or New York Times.
