Dr Bruce F. Chorpita is a widely known psychologist, researcher and educator. His fields of interest and expertise cover a range of areas in psychology. He is a particular authority on the effectiveness of mental health practice technologies for children and adolescents. He is also interested in the future of psychotherapy.

Dr Chorpita is a Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he is also Director of the innovative and important Child FIRST Program.

Dr Chorpita’s research into mental health services for young people and childhood anxiety has been widely published in journals. He has authored books that address modular Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in relation to childhood mental health. He is President and Co-Founder of the consulting organization PracticeWise, LLC.

Dr Chorpita has received several awards for his work across his career, including the Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Research from the University of Hawaii.
