Dr J Paul Fedoroff is Director of the Forensic Research Unit at the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research (UOIMHR) and Co-Director of the Sexual Behaviors Clinic at The Royal (formerly the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre). He is also an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa.

An immensely highly regarded psychiatrist, Dr Fedoroff’s research focuses on paraphilic sexual disorders – that is, the assessment and treatment of people with problematic sexual interests and behaviors. He also specializes in psychopathy, sex hormones and forensic psychiatry, and has a particular interest in people with developmental delay or brain injury.

Dr Fedoroff is the acclaimed author of the books The Paraphilias: Changing Suits in the Evolution of Sexual Interest Paradigms and Ethical Dilemmas: Sexuality and Developmental Disability.

Among Dr Fedoroff’s many achievements is being named Specialist of the Year by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.
