Dr Sheila A. M. Rauch is the Mark and Barbara Klein Distinguished Professor in Psychiatry, Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry and Deputy Director of the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program at the Emory University School of Medicine. She also serves as Director of Mental Health Research and Program Evaluation for the VA Atlanta Healthcare System.

Dr Rauch is a world-leading expert in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She has specialized in its treatment, including Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, for over 20 years. Much of her research looks at how treatments are developed for PTSD and improving access to therapy. She also specializes in anxiety disorders. She has received multi-million-dollar grants on PTSD treatments and how they work.

Dr Rauch has written over 100 articles, as well as many book chapters and books on both PTSD and anxiety disorders. She is a fellow of the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy and a member of the Board of Directors and Scientific Council of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
