Dr Denise Sloan is an associate director in the Behavioral Science Division at the National Center for PTSD and a psychiatry professor at the Boston University School of Medicine. A highly respected psychologist, her expertise and research explores psychosocial treatments and emotional processes involved in PTSD. Together with Dr Brian Marx, she developed Written Exposure Therapy to offer a simple and effective protocol for PTSD with lower dropout rates. Dr Sloan has published over 160 articles and chapters and lends her expertise to various boards, committees and panels.
