Jennifer Shannon is a psychotherapist and best selling author of several books on anxiety. As a licensed psychotherapist, she works with adults and teenagers experiencing various forms of anxiety; social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, phobias, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), as well as depression and insomnia.

Shannon is a certified diplomat of The Academy of Cognitive Therapy and a graduate of the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute for OCD. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT).

Shannon wrote her first book after her then-teenaged daughter developed severe social anxiety. She is a regular speaker at national conferences, radio shows, news media and podcasts and hosts a popular YouTube channel.
