Dr Linda Craighead is among America’s leading experts on appetite awareness, binge eating, bulimia and eating disorders generally. She is a respected researcher, an acclaimed author and a Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at Emory University.

Dr Craighead’s areas of knowledge extend to psychopathology and specific interventions related to eating disorders and weight concerns, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical therapy and mindfulness-based therapies. Dr Craighead leads the Healthy Eating and Weight Support (HEWS) laboratory at Emory University.

Dr Craighead's book, The Appetite Awareness Workbook: How to Listen to Your Body and Overcome Bingeing, Overeating, and Obsession with Food, is a key text on the subject. Her research has been published widely in many prestigious peer-reviewed journals, and her work has been covered by mainstream media outlets such as CNN.
