Dr Susan M. Orsillo is well known for her studies into how acceptance-based behavioral therapy can assist the treatment of several disorders, including anxiety. She is a widely respected researcher, author, licensed clinical psychologist, and Senior Director of Psychology Education and Training at the American Psychological Association, Boston.

Dr Orsillo is also a Research Professor of Clinical Practice at Suffolk University, where she oversees the Mindful Way to Well-Being Lab. She has developed several prevention and treatment programs that integrate acceptance and mindfulness with evidence-based behavioral approaches.

In partnership with Dr Lizabeth Roemer, she authored the influential and acclaimed books, Acceptance-Based Behavioral Therapy, The Mindful Way Through Anxiety and Worry Less, Live More.

Dr Orsillo has published more than 120 journal articles and book chapters, with recent work appearing in journals such as Sexuality & Culture, Higher Education Research & Development and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She has also appeared on podcasts and delivered many talks, lectures and workshops.
