Dr Jessica Grisham is a ground-breaking researcher and world-renowned expert on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), hoarding, and anxiety. She is a Professor in the School of Psychology at UNSW Sydney, Australia, and has extensive clinical experience assessing and treating sufferers of OCD and hoarders.
Dr Grisham is particularly interested in the etiology and maintenance of OCD and related disorders, as well as co-morbidity and the classification of anxiety disorders.
She is the recipient of many grants to conduct this research and is the Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Clinical Psychology. She has published extensively in journals such as Behaviour Research and Therapy, Journal of Anxiety Disorders, and Psychiatry Research.
Dr Grisham received her Ph.D. from Boston University in 2005, moving to Australia shortly afterward to take up a post-doctoral role at UNSW.
She publishes widely and is frequently an expert consultant in mainstream media. Dr Grisham's work on OCD has seen her appear regularly on radio and television.
In 2013 she received the Young Tall Poppy Science Award from the Australian Institute of Policy and Science.
