Dr Kirk J. Schneider plays an integral role at the forefront of existential-humanistic and existential-integrative therapy. He is a founding member and President of the Existential-Humanistic Institute, which provides training, retreats and a forum for existential-humanistic theory and practice. Dr Schneider is also an adjunct faculty member at Saybrook University and Teacher’s College, Columbia University, and a 2021 candidate for president of the American Psychological Association.
Dr Schneider is an author, co-author and editor of praiseworthy books, including The Depolarizing of America: A Guidebook for Social Healing, where he presents mindfully structured dialogues for a diverse range of North American communities and settings for people wanting to be part of a collective positive change.
Dr Schneider contributes to magazines such as Psychology Today and Scientific American. He is a keynote speaker at international conferences and is regularly interviewed on podcasts, radio and television shows.
