Dr Pim Cuijpers is an esteemed clinical psychologist and an award-winning researcher and academic. Much of his work is devoted to the prevention and treatment of mental disorders such as depression and anxiety, and the possibilities of internet-delivered treatment. He is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Head of the Department of Clinical, Neuro and Developmental Psychology.

Dr Cuijpers is a pioneer in methodology and research methods, in particular, randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses on prevention. Other areas of knowledge include psychoeducational treatment and early interventions, psychotic disorders, caregivers of dementia patients and bibliotherapy.

Dr Cuijpers has published nearly 1000 peer-reviewed articles, chapters, reports and the like, and is listed in the top one percent of cited scientists in the area of psychiatry and psychology, according to highlycited.com. He is an Associate Editor of Psychological Bulletin and Deputy Editor of Depression & Anxiety.
