Dr Ray Owen is a Clinical and Health Psychologist who specializes in therapy for cancer and palliative care patients. In addition, he is an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) trainer recognized by the Association of Contextual Behavioural Sciences.

Dr Owen worked for nearly 40 years in the British NHS, delivering therapy, supporting doctors and nurses and leading a team of psychologists helping people affected by chronic physical health conditions.

Dr Owen has published scientific articles in respected journals such as BMJ Open, and his self-help books were highly commended in the 2012 BMA Book Awards.

Dr Owen shares his expertise via workshops, transmitting knowledge and skills for using ACT to manage chronic illness, grief and other adjustment processes. In addition, he has extensive experience in teaching and supervising health professionals internationally to improve their provision of psychological support.
