Dr Debra Kaysen is a revered professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University. Her clinical work and research is focused on the treatment of traumatic stress including PTSD for diverse populations. She is particularly well-versed in Cognitive Processing Therapy and developed a program at the University of Washington to design and evaluate feasible interventions for people who have experienced traumatic incidents. She is a past president of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
