Dr Paul Hewitt is a Professor in the Department of Psychology, Director of the Perfectionism and Psychopathology Lab and an Associate Member of the Psychotherapy Program in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He is a Licensed Psychologist and a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association.

In 2018 Dr Hewitt was awarded the Donald O. Hebb Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology by the Canadian Psychological Association. In addition, he is named as one of the top ten Canadian clinical psychology professors for research productivity.

Dr Hewitt is co-author of multiple books for students and professionals on perfectionism, psychopathology, and psychotherapy. He has also published book chapters and over three hundred scientific articles.

Dr Hewitt contributed to the development of perfectionism measurement scales now used widely in research and clinical settings. He is an international presenter and regularly trains clinicians in the treatment of perfectionistic behaviour.
