Professor Paul B. Fitzgerald is a qualified psychiatrist and an expert in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). He specialises in brain stimulation and neuroscience in relation to finding new therapies for mental health conditions, including depression, schizophrenia and other disorders.

Professor Fitzgerald maintains multiple roles including Head of School of Medicine and Psychology at the Australian National University, Director of the Epworth Centre for Innovation in Mental Health (ECIMH) and the Co-founder and Medical Director of TMS Australia.

Professor Fitzgerald has written over 500 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conducted dozens of clinical trials and experimental studies. He also wrote the authoritative book on the use of TMS treatment in depression, titled Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treatment for Depressive Disorders.
