One of the pioneers of CBT, Dr Donald Meichenbaum developed Cognitive Behavior Modification and was voted the tenth most influential psychotherapist of the 20th Century by the American Psychological Association. Dr Meichenbaum is distinguished professor emeritus at the University of Waterloo and research director of the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Treatment. He wrote the classic text Cognitive Behavior Modification: An Integrative Approach and edited The Plenum Series on Stress and Coping.
