Professor G. Lorimer Moseley is a pain scientist, clinician and educator. He pioneered the use of contemporary pain science education, also known as Pain Neurophysiology Education and Pain Neuroscience Education, and is widely considered the leading authority internationally.
Professor Moseley is the founder of Pain Revolution, a not-for-profit organization that runs rural outreach, awareness and fundraising cycle tours. It trains and supports rural and regionally based health professionals to become Local Pain Educators and Local Pain Collectives to facilitate knowledge and skill-building among interdisciplinary teams. It allows Lived Experience Communities of Practice to offer consumers the opportunity to build their own knowledge and self-management skills.
Professor Moseley is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health & Medical Sciences and the only physiotherapist to be named Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
Professor Moseley has authored over 350 academic papers and his work has been funded by over AUD$20million in competitive funding. His library of over 900 blog posts is now hosted by the International Association for the Study of Pain and his TED-X talk, TametheBeast and other videos have been viewed by millions.
