Professor Nicholas Haslam is a professor of psychology at the University of Melbourne in Australia. He is co-director of the Mental Health PhD program and an expert in personality, social psychology and psychiatric classification. Within his area of expertise, Professor Haslam’s research focuses on prejudice and refugee mental health. He also investigates psychiatrization and coined the term “concept creep” to describe society’s increasing sensitivity to harm. Professor Haslam has written nine books and published over 330 articles and book chapters.
