Dr Timothy R. Pineau is co-developer of Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE®), Chief Financial Officer of the MSPE Institute, and runs a private practice as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Washington DC. Prior to opening his practice, he spent several years working in college counseling centers.

Dr Pineau has special expertise in mindfulness, especially in relation to athletes and other performers, and previously taught a course in mindfulness and meditation for the Department of Psychology at The Catholic University of America. In his private practice in Washington DC, he specializes in performance psychology, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, stress, relationships, identity and major life transitions.

As one of the developers of MSPE, Dr Pineau went on to establish the MSPE Institute alongside Carol Glass and Keith Kaufman. He has written numerous articles and co-authored the book, Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement: Mental Training for Athletes and Coaches. He also co-hosts the Mindful Sport Performance podcast.
