Dr Richard Sears has devoted his career to understanding the history, theory and practice of mindfulness. He is an adjunct professor in psychology at the University of Cincinnati and the director of the Center for Clinical Mindfulness and Meditation. A prolific writer, Dr Sears has authored over a dozen books and numerous journal articles on mindfulness-based treatments for PTSD and mindfulness training in youth. He has over a decade of experience leading mindfulness therapy courses and once served as a bodyguard for the Dalai Lama.
