Dr Scott Barry Kaufman is a highly influential psychologist in his exploration of intelligence, creativity and human potential.

Dr Kaufman is fundamentally interested in the potential of humans, including the development of intelligence, creativity and personality. His ground-breaking ideas have had a far-reaching impact on the field of positive psychology.

He is Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University where he teaches courses on creativity and well-being, and he is also director of research at the 2e Center, Bridges Academy.

In a previous role at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr Kaufman was scientific director of the evocatively titled Imagination Institute.

Dr Kaufman also shares his knowledge and enthusiasm with a general audience. He writes for quality mainstream media (including The Atlantic, the New York Times, Scientific American and Harvard Business Review) on a range of diverse topics.

He was an early adopter of podcasting, sharing his insights via The Psychology Podcast, which has been downloaded over 10 million times. His podcasts are so influential that they were cited by Business Insider as a key way to change how you think about human behavior.
