Dr Mary Lamia is a psychologist, professor and author. Within these roles, her mission is to educate the public about the psychology of human behavior. Dr Lamia's expertise lies in the development and encouragement of emotional awareness in adults, adolescents, and pre-teens. This passion is exemplified through her award-winning books that guide emotional transformation.

Dr Lamia is a Professor in the doctoral program at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, an organization that encourages graduates to use their profession to address community and societal needs.

In addition to her PhD in clinical psychology, Dr Lamia holds a certification in psychoanalysis with the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute. She works with adolescents, adults, couples and families within her private practice.

For nearly a decade, Dr Lamia hosted a weekly call-in Radio Disney show called ‘Kidtalk with Dr Mary’. Her expertise and commentary have widely featured in the media, including The New York Times, Forbes, Huffington Post, CBS radio and Fox Network.
