Professor Dr Steven Laureys is a global authority on the neurology of consciousness. He explores the human mind in health and disease using the latest brain imaging technologies and wearables assessing coma, near-death experiences, concussion, anesthesia, hypnosis, meditation, trance and dreamlike states. Professor Dr Laureys is the research director at the Belgian National Fund of Scientific Research. He has published over 500 peer-reviewed scientific papers and several books, including the international bestseller, The No-Nonsense Meditation Book.
