Dr Beth Rom-Rymer is a clinical psychologist, trauma expert and the CEO of the Illinois Association of Prescribing Psychologists. In 2014, she led the introduction of legislation to allow prescriptive authority for specially trained psychologists. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to create training opportunities for prescribing psychologists in hospitals, prisons, military bases and more. Dr Rom-Rymer helped create the field of forensic geriatrics and co-founded the Refuge House, a shelter for surviving families of domestic abuse.
