Dr Susan M. Knell is an experienced clinical psychologist for children, adolescents, and adults. She excels in the delivery of Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy (CBPT) to manage mental health issues in children and young people.

Dr Knell is the author of the popular title, Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy. In addition to her book, she regularly publishes chapters on guidelines to cutting-edge therapeutic approaches for mental health issues in children.

Dr Knell’s CBPT techniques are applied by therapists around the world. A collaboration of scholars in the United States and Italy study her therapeutic methods via the Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy group.

Dr Knell has extensive research experience and held an Assistant Professor position at Case Western Reserve University. She speaks throughout the United States, assisting in the training development of fellow mental health professionals.
