Dr Kali Trzesniewski is a well-known social-developmental psychologist. Her research investigates how personality and social factors affect an individual’s development over the course of a life, incorporating the concepts of growth and fixed mindsets. She is also devoted to understanding how children can grow into healthy adults and become contributing members of society.

Dr Trzesniewski is a member of the faculty at the University of California (UC) Davis, where she is a Youth Development Specialist in Cooperative Extension and the Associate Director of Research for the California-wide 4-H Youth Development Program. She is the PI of the SELF Lab, also at UC Davis.

Dr Trzesniewski has published influential research across many prestigious peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Youth Development and Journal of Personality. Her work has been featured by numerous well-known media outlets, such as The New York Times, Vox, Slate, NPR and Quartz, as well as Psychology Today and Scientific American.
