Dr Ronnie Janoff-Bulman is a professor emerita in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts. World-renowned for her early research on trauma, Dr Janoff-Bulman developed the theory of shattered assumptions to explain how survivors understand and account for their victimization. Her more recent work has focused on morality, particularly the motivations behind different moral perspectives and the implications for an individual’s political ideology. Dr Janoff-Bulman has published extensively on these topics, including two books and over 100 peer-reviewed papers.
