Dr David Carbonell is a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders and phobias. He founded the Anxiety Treatment Centre in Chicago more than thirty years ago, one of the first treatment centers in the United States to offer specialized help for people suffering from phobias or anxiety disorders, including panic attacks.

Dr Carbonell is the author of four books on understanding and conquering chronic anxiety disorders. He has taught over ten thousand therapists at workshops around the world on his unique combination of therapy techniques.

Dr Carbonell frequently speaks at conferences held by the Anxiety and Depression Association. He is also regularly interviewed on podcasts and webinars where he shares his knowledge on overcoming panic disorders, anxiety and phobias.

Dr Carbonell has a number of freely accessible video recordings using humor and an upbeat approach to create powerful methods in halting the cascading symptoms of an oncoming panic attack. He is the founding member of The Therapy Players, a comedy troupe of psychotherapists who perform throughout Chicago and online.
