Dr Sabine Wilhelm is the Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Centers for Digital Mental Health and OCD and Related Disorders (CORD). She is the MGH Chief of Psychology and a Harvard Medical School Professor in the Greater Boston Area.
Dr Wilhelm is a long-serving scholar with a passion for harnessing the power of technology. With over 300 scientific publications, her research focuses on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and depression. Her overarching aim is to leverage technology-based interventions for greater access and quality of psychological services.
As principal investigator, Dr Wilhelm’s trials have been funded by seven NIMH grants and a host of private sponsors. In addition, she has contributed over 250 lectures and seven books to advancing cognitive behavioral therapy and e-mental health.
Dr Wilhem is a Beck Scholar and “Outstanding Service” member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). In 2018, she won the Peter K. Ranney Innovation Award and the Aaron T. Beck Award with the Academy for Cognitive Therapy. She has received three awards for Excellence in Mentorship and Leadership with Cognitive Behavioral Internship Classes.
Dr Wilhelm works tirelessly across numerous academic bodies, including the Scientific Council for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. She is the former president of ABCT, a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science (APS), and active on eight editorial boards.
