Dr Raymond Chip Tafrate is a clinical psychologist and Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Central Connecticut State University. His main areas of expertise are the nature of anger and anger management, antisocial behavior, self-destructive behavior and forensic psychology.

Dr Tafrate is the author of a number of books, including, with co-author Howard Kassinove, the popular and acclaimed self-help book Anger Management for Everyone and The Practitioners Guide to Anger Management. Other books include CBT with Justice-Involved Clients.

Dr Tafrate is a fellow and supervisor with the Albert Ellis Institute and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers. He is also a regular consultant for criminal justice agencies, and has delivered talks and presented research across the world.

Dr Tafrate's work has been featured by The New York Times, the BBC and The Los Angeles Times, while his academic writing has appeared in journals such as Criminal Justice Behavior, and the Behavior Therapist, among others. He has also produced DVDs and is a blogger for the CorrectTech Community Corrections Blog.
