Dr Mary-Frances O’Connor is associate professor and director of clinical training at The University of Arizona. She is an expert in the psychology and neuroscience of grief and loss, having conducted pioneering research on the grief process from an experiential and physiological perspective. Dr O’Connor’s work offers insights into the neurobiology of Complicated Grief – a persistent and severe reaction to loss. She is the author of the acclaimed book, The Grieving Brain: The Surprising Science of How We Learn from Love and Loss.
